oct? it will be too short to report a birth abroad and received a passport. many things need to be done ahead of time.
first thing to do, if you have not? is to report his birth to the consulate of US in the Philippines,
you need to be registered first as an US citizen in the Philippines,(you are an US citizen ?
i assume by your writings?) you may do all of this at the same time,
original birth certificate (yours, his, father(if it is the case?)
marriage certificate(if it applies)
